Reconsideration letter

Please I need help.my case goes does,I applied for flr(m) visa but it was refused and I am given right to appeal.however before my appeal I just sent a reconsideration letter to homeoffice for my application to be reconsidered with supporting evidence before I send my appeal.Is there any possibility that the decision might be overturned based on the evidences that I have submitted or they will still want me to carry on with the appeal.help please
