10 Year ILR with 1 year study leave as a part of UK degree

Hi,

I have a got a question in regards to application for indefinite leave based on long residence (10 years).

I have came to UK in 2003 as a student and had the following visas without any breaks in them.

2003-2005 Student Visa
2005-2006 Student Visa
2006-2007 Engineering Graduate something visa
2007-2009 Student Visa
2009-2011 Post Study Work Visa
2011-Present Tier 2 General Work permit.

I had very few abscences – occasional holidays never more then 2-3 weeks a year. The only one major absence for me was a 1 year absence in 2008-2009.

I was a student at Heriott-Watt University in Edinburgh doing mspme.org course, which required me to spend 6 months in Italy and 6 month in Sweden before I could graduate from Heriott-Watt. This course is sponsored by European Commision and is part of Erasmus Mundus. Heriott-Watt was a coordinating institution in this case, and my UK visa covered me all the way until my graduation.

In this situation in order to finish my UK degree I had to travel and study abroad.

So my question is: Has anybody had applied with similar circumstances? What was the outcome? Is there anyone I can contact to clarify it?

Regards

Hi,

I'm in very much the same situation as you now. Can you please post an update as to what happened in your case?

Many thanks

This topic is more than 3 years old and the member has not come back to update whether ILR was applied for or granted. Rather than digging up old threads and tagging a generic post onto another members topic, suggest start your own topic with your immigration history etc.
