any advice with applying or not applying for indian passport? You cannot have both as India doesn't allow dual. Someone with more experience in this can hopefully answer you on what is best to do.

thanks in advance!

No need to apply for Indian passport as you have to surrender it when your baby gets British passport.

Ok, I am going to apply for british passport.

As my wife and I are on ILR currently, how do we apply for british passport for the child?

1. Go to post office and make an application
from here:https://www.gov.uk/get-a-child-passport ... t-passport

or

2. Fillin the MN1 form on UKBA site?
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... rm_mn1.pdf

Can you please point me to the page with instructions?

Thanks!

You collect a form at the Post Office, complete it and post it. The guidance booklet is included in the envelope with the application form.

MN1 registration is not applicable as baby is already British
