Urgent - Panic - ILR dependant.

Hi all

My partner is applying for his ILR next week on the basis that I now have ILR and he has been here in the UK for more than two years now as PBS dependant.

Just today I applied for a provisional license and sent my bRP, containing indefinite leave to remain, as a proof of identity.

We totally forgot that it may be required. I do have a photocopy of the same and the documents given by UKba while approving my ILR. Will that be enough?

Can someone who have recently applied at Croydon confirm if original BRP for the person on whom the applicant was PBs dependant (ie mine) is require or not?

If yes should/can I ask Dvla to send my documents back ?

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I called DVLa and they said they don't have any provision to cancel the application and send documents back earlier. I am going to try again tomorrow.

But what you guys suggest. Should I still try and go ahead with my app (will I still be charged? Did they ask for original before taking the money or after) or should I rebook.

I am travelling to India on 30th oct so can try to book a date in early October but its close to my travel. I have put myself in a fix. :( extremely confused and sad.

If the visa is expiring in few data I would suggest to go a head with the application with the photocopy and mention the DVLA stuff in the additional info page otherwise if the visa is expiring in a months time I would suggest to wait for the BRP as DVLA applications are quick.

Thanks for your reply.

The tier 1 PBS dependant is visa until aug 2015 but as I need to travel by 30th oct I am a bit worried.

Also can you confirm if I cancel my visa appointment date for next Friday by tomorrow will they refund the money back?

How long they will take to return your BRP ? Instead of cancelling why don't you reschedule appointment ?

The website says upto 4 weeks.

I didn't know I could reschedule ? Do you know if that includes paying again etc.

Also how many times can I reschedule?

Perhaps I can then reschedule it to end sept and then see if my brp arrives by then else reschedule again?

Has anyone tried this?

To be in safer side reschedule it before five working days of your appointment.

Is it required for the main to sponsor the dependant? As he is working full time he can show his payslips and bankstatements.

What are the financial requirements for ILR dependants?

Adequate maintenance and accommodation. If working full time, there is nothing to worry about, just supply 3 months wage slips and corresponding bank statements.

Thanks. I earlier thought to create a new topic for a separate query but makes sense to have all under one.

Ok so my payslips are not needed then. Thanks.

I might have some queries while Filling the set o form so will come back in a while :)

Hi

y husband is applying for his ILR this week and is currently on Tier 1 dependant visa using Set (O) form. I got my ILR (as main applicant) earlier this year.

We have for few queries on the form:

1. Payment Section -> as the whole payment has already been made online it can just be left blank. is that right?

2. Section 3 -> which category?
We have selected PBS dependant. is this right?

Considering the above, I need to know where will the main ILR holder's detail (mine) will go on the Set (O) form?

Thanks

Thanks for such a prompt reply.

Where will the main ILR holder's detail (mine) will go on the Set (O) form?

Or are they not needed at all?

You'll be supplying cohabitation proof and the spouse's BRP so that should suffice.

You should be fine with just main applicants financials.

Others

My husband had his appointment today at Croydon but due to IT issues they could not come to a decision.

They have returned all the documents back and only kept his app form, fotos and BRP.

Does it mean that they are happy with the docs but the decision can be either ways? Are there others who faced this issue?
