Tier 1 (General) Dependent ILR – Minimum income threshold

I’m planning to apply for ILR for my wife. I had Tier 1 (General) and now have ILR.

I’m doing PhD and receive £13,763 (yearly tax free maintenance allowance for my PhD from university in the UK); also I receive £7,000 (yearly tax free maintenance allowance for my PhD from university in Pakistan).

The minimum income threshold is £18,600; I know I can show the maintenance allowance from the UK as income, can I show the maintenance allowance I receive from Pakistan as income? What document I would require to show this?

Many thanks for your considerations and replies.

What is your spouse's current immigration status? When did this leave begin?

She is no Tier 1 (General) dependent. Arrive UK March 2012, will complete her two years on March 2014.

Ok so to confirm your spouse is a PBS dep and has been since before July 2012 and you gained ILR after 5 years as a PBS applicant?

If so, there is no financial requirement for her ILR, just adequate maintenance for which your stipend will suffice.

Thanks Amber, yes she is PBS dependent; I was PBS applicant (Tier1 General) and got the ILR (after 5 year) in November 2013. Would it be possible to share a reference link from UKBA on this.
Many thanks

Significant wrote:Hello Guys,

I'm planning to apply for ILR next month, I am on Tier 1 General and had showed IELTs passed certificate when I got Tier 1 General first time. The IELTs test is expired after two years, when I applied for extension, I have checked in the form (Tier 1 extension form) that I have already proved English language requirement and have attached the expired IELTs test certificate.

Now my question is for ILR application do I need new English languages test? Or it’s ok to attach the old IELTs certificate with ILR application.
Looking forward to your replies on this and many thanks.
