Hi,

First Special thnks to amber as she answered most of my queries.....she was alwas been so prompt in replying to my queries.
and quite a lot of ppl in this forum are confusing other ppl when in comes to degree from india which is giving 10 points for English in pbs calculator .same is been confirmed by amber as well if for main as well as dependent the pbs calculator is giving 10 points for English u don't need naric or letter from university that the degree was taught in English.

"only original degree with pbs calculator printout will suffice"

tier 1 granted from india - 16apr2009 valid till 16apr2012
first entered uk - 12july2009 (within 90 days)
depenedent visa granted from india -11aug2011 valid till 16apr2012
dependent first entered uk - 01sep2011
extension application posted 03apr2012
tier 1(g) extension valid till 18jun2014 ........same for the dependent

i have taken following docs with me.

1. 4 p60's
2. 12 months payslips
3. 12 months bank statement showing salary paidin
4. life in uk certificate (both me & wife)
5. home office letters for tier1 extension approval (both)
6. marriage certificate
7. degrees n transcript (both)
8. filled forms
9. passports & brp;s (for both)
10. pbs calculaor printout for both for english requirement.
11. letter from employer confirming continous and permanent employment since jun2010 but no mention of absence
12. cohibition docs around 20
13. photocopies of all the docs.including the stamped pages on the ppt.
14. absence template
15. cover letter
16 last 3 months payslips and corresponding bank statements for dependent (just additionally)

the whole process took around 2.5hrs and case worker took around 75 mins.

By the luks of it case worker hasn't touched the dependent payslips and bank statements, dependent absence sheet and tier1 extension approval letters

case worker kept the following docs with her
1) original letter from the employer (no mention of paid leaves or absence, just mentioned working since)
2) kept pbs calculator printout ,
3) main applicant absence sheet along with stamped pages of ppt
4) Cover letter ( I think that helps the case worker to decide promptly)

never seen case worker in the whole process.....was very smooth experience.

the lady who given the approval letters in the end said "very organised" and me & my wife was smiling.

cover letter format

Hi gg1001,
Can you please clarify one point for me.

7.11. how long have you lived in the UK?
Did you counted your time from the visa issue date or the actual time you stayed in UK.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Regards,

Hi,

I just written the actual time I spent in the uk that is 4yrs 8 months but obvisiously I applied taking under account the date from which tier1 was granted from india as the day I entered was within 90 days concession limit.

I have clarified this to case worker by writing all the dates clearly in the cover limit but in the form u just mention da actual time u spent in the uk and then case worker can work it out for u or if u want u can work out for the case worker as I did in cover letter to make there and urs life easier.

hope it answers ur question
