Dear Moderators and experts,

I have 3 queries regarding my ILR at the moment I am on Tier 1 general applied on 28 march 2009 got 12 june 2009.

1.I just started working as an accountant but according to my contract I am responsible for my own tax and NI which is due next april as I just started this job I can provide wage slips and conract along with bank statements showing my gross salary coming direct from company account. My accountant will make my accounts as well although I am claiming from Sep13 to Sep 14 earning which includes

5000 from my taxi job as self employed tax return filed...oct13 to 1st april 14.
5000 covering sep 13 to april 14 security guard, job started feb13 finished 25th march got p45.
20,000 going to be this current job from april 14 to sep 14.

2. In ILR from at age criteria section the age at first application is 27 year 11 months does it comes under 27 awarding me 20 points becuz I don't remember how many points they awarded me but I claimed 20 at my first tier 1 general and in the extension I claimed 5 points by mistake and they awarded me 10 under the headings that points awarded on the basis of your initial tier 1 application.I am confused please advice whether I am entitled to 20 points this time or am I missing something.

3.IELTS done in 2005 and provided in previous tier 1 applications do I need to re sit for ILR.

Cheers.

1. Your income is fine as long as they have been taxed (paid or payable) it does not matter where it comes from.

2. You will get points for your age again - as you were under 28 at the outset (when you applied for Tier 1).

3. No you do not need to take fresh IELTS - the one you had earlier is enough but you have to pass Life in the UK.

4. You should also claim 5 points for UK income as your income from UK is more than £16,000.

My case was more less similar to you (except age points) and I got my ILR on 1 May 2014 (applied on February 3, 2014)

You do not need to worry about income. You are ok with that. One thing UKBA might be interested to know that you have paid the taxes on your previous extension income as well as that you have been paying taxes in all previous years (not necessarily the required level of income).

I needed an income of more than 35,000 to get ILR. To achieve this I had to work all 7 days - my income included about 10,000 from Sainsbury's as a check out assistant (working there in the evenings and weekends) - some £5,000 from essay writing assistance and rest £22,000 from my professional income as a self employed accountant for the first 5 months and rest of the month drawing salary and dividend from my limited company.

Moderators plzz need your advice......ilr set o form section 9c for age points asks to put tick relevant box for the age at time of first application of tier 1 , for me it is under 28 means 20pts as I was under 28 at the time of apply I claimed 20 but dont knw how much awarded as no letter was sent with docs.but in extension I by mistake tick 5pts box and I got 10pts now im confused to put 10 or 20 for ilr.
