Hello ,,,

I would like to confirm if it is now possible to apply in person for ILR after 6 years of discretionary leave completion under transitional arrangements?

Your early response would be much helpful as I have now completed the qualifying period and awaiting to apply asap.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

Please I would like to confirm when i can apply for ILR via PEO appointment because i will complete my 6years of discretionary to remain in uk on 15/09/2015 but DLR Visa will expire in June, 2016.

6yrs DLR: 15/09/2009 to 16/09/2015

1). My 6years DLR will be complete on 15/09/2015
2). Can i apply 28days before the completion of 6years DLR i.e (18/08/2015).
3). When can i book for PEO appointment on 07/07/2015 because of 42 days rule i.e (7/7/15 to 18/08/15)
4). It is possible to book for PEO appointment early before the 28 days of qualifying period.

Your prompt response would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Why is your DLR expiring before 6 years. Did you apply for your 2nd DLR extension early?

6yrs DLR: 15/09/2009 to 16/09/2015

1). My 6years DLR will be complete on 15/09/2015
2). Can i apply 28days before the completion of 6years DLR i.e (18/08/2015).
3). When can i book for PEO appointment on 07/07/2015 because of 42 days rule i.e (7/7/15 to 18/08/15)

Hello again,
My case is the same. For me, the home office took 15months to grant the extension as they misplaced the application. I am applying counting six years from the first date of DL category. So I think you'll be fine to apply 28 days before your 6year completion date.
I don't know about this 42 days rule but I booked only one week in advance. Why don't you wait till you complete the whole 6year time as you are going in person. That's my opinion, you can book appointment anytime as they are available to suit you.

For the benefit of others
If you are applying for indefinite leave after 6 years on discretionary leave through PEO,make sure you have completed your 6yrs on discretionary leave,
Your 6yrs start from the date of your first leave started,as long as you make INTIME application for your extension

This was the advice from the HO when my MP wrote to them on my behalf, when for me to apply for indefinite leave,if you are applying through postal, then you can apply 28 days before, but for PEO application, you have to clock 6yrs on the day of your PEO appointment,
It took HO 13 months to grant my extension of my DL,

Hi Sannadx

You don't say if you have already applied by PEO. If you have done so, was it successful? Your response would be useful in making a decision.
Thanks

Hi everyone

Anyone who has applied for their ILR on this thread please could you advice if you did get granted your ilr on the basis of having completed 6yrs on their DL.

Is it also possible to apply for ILR using PEO if you have been granted DL on the grounds of humanitarian protection after asylum case failed.

Thank you

Yes is possible but make sure you have completed six years prior to your appointment date.
Also check my previous posts for July last year.

Thank you

£1,900
£1,500 for the application
£4,00 for PEO appointment

But now i think you will pay £2,000
£1,500 for the application
£500 for PEO appointment
If you are applying for indefinite leave, you don't need to pay for NHS fee.

Actually it is

PEO-£500

In total £2375
