ILR Set o form new english requirment section 4

Hello everyone,
I am going to apply for my ILR very soon. As application form has been revised on 6 April 2015, section 4 of the form Set (O) has been revised specifically with the English test details.
Can anyone please confirm is English test now mandatory for a ILR main applicant despite following conditions;
1. Qualification is recognised on point based calculator. (from India)
2. English requirement recognised on point based calculator (from India)
3. Proof of English already been submitted in first Tier 1 application and consequently in tier 1 extension.
In section 4.5 to section 4.8, there is only discussion about English tests so, if I meet all above three points than will I keep blank section 4.5 to 4.8 in application form?
Please suggest if I apply for NARIC it will be sufficient?!
Can anyone please help with this issue? I will be very helpful. It seems risky to keep 4.5 to 4.8 option blank considering ENGLISH is mandatory requirement!
Many thanks for your time and reply.
Kind Regards

If you apply NARIC, that will suffice English language requirement. But couple of people from this forum got ILR on the basis of points based calculator by selecting tier 2 general and qualification recognized in that. But send a mail to homeoffice and get it confirmed and then take that printout
Regards,
Suresh

Hi tierone_extension,
My appointment is on the 23 July, When do you have appointment?
I also understand that we should keep section 4.5 to 4.8 blank as main applicant if we are supplying NARIC certificate.
However i got one dependent applying with me who passed test with listed category.

Its confusing that weather i should i tick 4.5 - 4.8 on her behalf or not because there is not any option that section 4.5-4.8 is only specific to main applicant or dependent? !!!
Look forward to see reply(ies) many thanks in advance.

Hi tierone_extension,
I am also doing same and planning to keep sections blank because its seems for main applicant rather than dependent.

Hi ,
Have you seen the new version of the Set O form for ILR. Its version 5/15 so released in May -2015 .
I am shocked to see that it has NO mention of an option " Proved English language proficiency during initial Tier 1 application" .
Secondly also noticed that the PBS calculator does not allow you to choose Tier 1 General so you cant take a proper printout unless u choose Tier 2 or other which would confuse the Case worker.
Could somebody please help me with my understanding. Does the above mean that:
1. Its now mandatory to get my Bachelors Degree assessed by NARIC for English . I has my Bachelors degree assessed by NARIC for UK Comparability in March 2010 but that does not give Language details. I did not use the certificate of Comparability before as my Degree shows in Points calculator and was giving me 30 point for qualification and 10 points for English.
2. Again there is a confusion as the new SET (0) form does not have option to choose "Available in PBS" for English
The only option available are:
• An academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the United Kingdom and:
˗˗UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was taught or researched in English; or
˗˗the qualification was taught or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country (other than Canada); OR
BUT the Home Office website still has the OLD content
https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english
===============
If your degree was taught or researched in English
You can prove your knowledge of English by having a degree that was taught or researched in English.
Your degree will need to be confirmed by UK NARIC as the equivalent of a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree in the UK, if it was taken in another country.
You’ll need your original degree certificate and one of the following:
a printout from the points-based calculator with the equivalent level of your degree and the level of English
an original letter or certificate from UK NARIC confirming the equivalent level of your degree, plus an official letter from your university with your name and degree confirming that your degree was taught in English
an original and official certificate from your university confirming the degree was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country (except Canada)
=============
This is really a Pain to see how UKBA find ways to make our life of difficult and confusing.
Please suggest if I should Now go for NARIC Language assessment ?
Cheers
Anand

Sorry for Re-posting it .
Unfortunately I was not able to find this topic before I posted my query on the Forum but later and found the discussion in details.
Apologies for posting the same query again .
The discussion is about the changes made in April -2015 and the way forward but My questions were related to May -2015 version , a newer version released by UKBA without correcting the Anomalies highlighted in the discussion thread.
Cheers
Anand
