Hi,

For ILR, does the main applicant have to re-do the English Language test again.
I have done IELTS when I applied for Tier 1 General Visa. At the renewal stage, I didn't need to provide any Proof of English (just have to tick English language requirement satisfied at Previous application).

Can the previously passed IELTS (used for Tier 1 General Visa) will be acceptable for ILR or will I have to pass another English Language test?

Hi,
I am going to make an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain in June 2015. Before I ask the question, please understand the timeline/information about me

• Leave to Enter - Sep'2009 on Tier 1 General
• I used IELTS to prove my English when making the application in 2009. The IELTS test was given in 2008 and it had an expiry date of 2010
• I am a post graduate (The degree is there on NARIC website) and this qualification gives me 35 points for qualification and 10 for English.
• I also have my degree (Bachelors) and a letter from the University stating that the bachelors degree was taught in English

While making an ILR application (SET-O) which document can I use to prove my English ?

1. IELTS certificate (which expired in 2010) ?
2. Master's degree and print out of PBS ?
3. Bachelor's degree and letter from the university ?
4. Combination or all of the above ?

Please advise as I am a little confused about it and a clarification would really help me.

Dear Sir,

All of the evidence mentioned in your below e mail is acceptable for evidencing that you can meet the English language component of the KOLL requirement. The decision is yours as to which you prefer to use, however, please be aware that the points calculator no longer contains an option to access as a Tier 1 (General) migrant. You will therefore need to access the calculator as a Tier 2 (General) migrant. This will award you 10 points for English, provided your qualification is comparable to a UK Bachelors, Masters degree or PHD.
