Hi All,
I am in Tier 1 General visa along with with my wife and son who are my dependent. I was going through the changes made to the settlement visa on 29th OCT and am now really confused. It states that in the following link

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/immi ... es-changes

Settlement
•ensuring indefinite leave and naturalisation applicants, who normally rely on an English language qualification, take a secure English language test

The question i is as follows
1) I proved my English language when i applied for my tier 1 visa for the first time as my degree was taught in English. It comes up in the Points based calculator. Do i still need to write IELTS or other exam to prove it for my ILR?
2) My wife also has a degree taught in English. But she has never proved this during her initial visa so does this mean she has to sit for this exam?

Any light on this would be much appreciated as i have less than 2 months visa and planning to go for ilr by mid December .

You both needs to see https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english.

English requirement for ILR is that you must be able to tick one on the boxes each.
