Hi All,

I got my ILR(Tier 2 ICT + Tier 2 Gen) in May 2015. Now I am applying ILR for my wife as she has cleared her Life in Uk exam. She came to UK in Feb 2012.

Can you please confirm:-
1) Which category should I chose on SET O form in Section 3 - Tier 2 Dependent or Other Purposes?
2) Where can I provide the details that she is applying as I have got an ILR now?
3) What option should be selected as part of Section 12?

Thanks.

Note: I think I had put the post in wrong section so re-posting here

1. Tier 2 dependent if that is what her current visa is

2. She completes form Set(O) as if she is the main applicant. HO have your information and ILR record.

3. Definitely 12A but not sure about rest, I don't know if the rest is applicable to dependents.

Hi Varun,

Congratulations on your wife's successful application.

My case is similar to yours where I have got my ILR in May2015 and now applying for my wife's ILR. She is currently on Tier 2 dependent visa and been in UK from 2010 on same status.

I've some queries regarding the SET(O) form,
My wife's Masters degree is from USA and PBS system is awarding her 10 Points for the same. My question is will a printout of the PBS calculator along with the Degree certificate will be enough for the KOLL requirement? And does that 10 points for the degree on PBS system calculator mean its UK NARIC deemed as mentioned in 4.3 section on the form.

Which part of section 12 is relevant, I guess 12A is a must but does she need to fill any other section such as 12P or any other?

Have you put any of your information in her application such as your employment/ visa status/ SOC code or any other. If so what kind of information did you put and in which section of the form?

Apologies for the long note. Waiting for your kind reply.

regards

12 A is required, i dont think I filled anything else

Hi,

Main Applicant Details:

First Landed in UK: Nov'2009
Visa Category: Tier 1 General
Received ILR: Dec'2014 (After completing 5 years on Tier 1 General visa)
Applied for Naturalization: 6th Jan 2016 (After completing 1 year on ILR),Waiting for approval.

Dependent:
My wife first time landed in UK as Tier 1 General dependent in UK March'2011.

Wife First Landed in UK: March'2011
Visa Category: Tier 1 General Dependent
Left UK as she was pregnant: Sep'2011
Visa Expired: Jun'2012
Applied for Tier 1 General Dependent visa again: Oct'2012(After Dependednt rules had changed effective from june/july'2012)
Came to UK again: Jun'2013 (staying with me in UK from Jun'2013)

Dependent eligibility for ILR rules had changed from 2 years to 5 years effective from june/july'2012. Whether my wife is eligible for ILR through 2 year route as she got her first visa on tier 1 general dependent in 2011 or she will fall under 5 year route to get ILR?

Thanks,
MM

I think Seniors need to confirm this but as per my understanding there is a no minimum balance requirement for Tier 2 Visa applications for ILR. I had maintained a balance >5K on monthly basis though.

I had attached 6 months statements for my ILR and similarly for my wife's application.

my wife is applying on her own. I qualified and received my ILR after completing 5 years on tier 2in FEB 2017. My wife will complete her 5 years since she moved to UK as a tier 2 dependent in Sep 2017. I have few questions to clarify and would request your insight.

1. SET 0 form is the right form ?
2. Section 1 needs to filled by dependent (my wife) as if she is the main applicant?
3. Section 3 B- Category of application will be Tier 2 Dependent ?
4. Section 5.3- My wife is a PHD student which listed as unit staff as research scholar and receive regular grant. Should I choose that she is working
5. The section with SOC code can be left empty?
6. Do i need to fill 5.6 about source of income?
7.Section 6 again needs to be filled by dependent as main applicant

Also, would be keen to see the list of documents that ned to be submitted. Thank you for your help
