Hi Gurus,

Having read FAQs, forms, rules and guidances, I have come to conclude that to prove my wife's english language qualification I can rely on the following:

1. Her Original Degree Certificate
2. PBS calculator showing ten points for the same degree.

My question:

I have noticed on the forum that many applicants are also providing University letter confirming that the degree was taught in english with the PBS printout.(for dependants)

Is this a mandatory requirement? Have I missed something?

Hi Rahul05,

If your wife's degree is appearing on PBS calculator and awarding 10 Points for English Language, then certificate from the University might not be required.

I have obtained a certificate from University in Cape Town because original degree was issued by Cape Technikon and after than name of university was changes to Cape Peninsula University of Tech.

If it is appearing on PBS Calculator and awarding you points, then you don't need to worry.
Cheers
R
