ILR(long residence) query....Help

Hi EVeryone
Just a quick question as I am going to apply for ILR (Long residence) soon and got all the docs ready, except the SA 302 for some tax years amendments from HMRC. So my query is I have seen so many topics of ILR(5year route) applications rejected because of not updated tax return but since I am going on ILR(10year route) does this amendments of HMRC applied to me as well.
I was on Tier-1 general for last 5 years before student visa.....so guys please help should i wait because its almost 5 months since I have asked HMRC to amend tax returns but no update till this time.
Also should i apply in person or post will be better please advice guys as you have always help everyone.....
