Hi Guys
I need urgent help please
I applied for ILR on the completion of Tier 1 General 5years visa, 4 months ago via post and now I received a letter from HO for interview
any idea which kind of questions they will ask during interview or any one else had interview call from HO

is your T-1 initial application or extension earnings claim was on self-employed?

If yes then its high likely this interview could be for that.

Hi!
If you are self employed and also if you had abt amendments then there are high chances of questions regarding re submission of your amendment!
Can you share the details when was your biometrics submitted? Was in February ?

I did biometrics in Feb 2016, and fixed the errors for my self assessment for my self-employment and paid all tax in advance.i did send HO amended HMRC documents.
my interview is next month
please advise me how can I defend my case and which kind of questions will be asked during interview

Hi cardiff2016,
They will definitely ask you about your amendment especially why you had to amend. Prepare yourself for the question like why did u made amendments? What didn't u made earlier? What is your current income sources ? If u still have the business, do u keep everything up to date especially your accounts and so on. These are my guess anyway. But I would suggest u to take advices from a good lawyer. My application is also with HO and I have somewhat similar case. Plz let us know your updates.

There were 4 parts of interview
1 current employment. Job responsibility. Address. Time at work. Time with this company. Wages
2. Current self employment. Same as above
3. Initial application amendment
4. Extension amendments
They did ask me about clintes. Locations etc for self employment for initial and current application
There was a cash withdrwal of £1000. Reason for that
How much is outgoing rent etc
Accounts prepared by accountant. Breakdown of expenses on accounts. You should know all relevent addresses i.e employment. Self employment. Accountant.

Thanks for the info. I'm in same boat as of you but haven't received the letter yet. Please could you advise if you send the amended sa302 in your application ? Was your return updated with Hmrc before your application?

They would mainly try to establish about the geniunity of your business so you should be prepare well and cover every aspect of your business secondly about the amendments so you may get few question about them as well

are you self employed this time as well?

amendment cases are not safe in current situation as HO is operating zero percent tolerance policy over amendments
the only chance you can stand on if still you have paid taxes over your threshold before amendments

I have paid less than threshold limit, now I have amended and paid in full. I have visa till march, 2018.
what do you suggest wait for some more time and apply ? please suggest

when did you have interview and have to received any reply?

I was interviewed on 19th of May. No reply so far. Its 2 weeks now.
My interview was via skype. It is good in a way that we dont have complete questionaire. I heared those who had face to face interview were asked to complete 1

are you working as a contractor? and had you sent the invoices, business statement and management account with the file?
apart from taking dividend are you employed as well some where?
if employed can you tell from which source are you generating more income means from employment or dividend from compnay

I work as a sub contractor where i generate my self employed income. I provide services to same clinte for last 5 years
Main source of income is full time employment

Guys any one of you heard back from ho after the interview . I have received a letter today after 5 months of my application that they will let me know about the day time and place for the interview . The letter is from Sheffield ho
