Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General to ILR (post Apr'10)

Hi there,

I've 2 questions and was wondering if anyone can help :) I've my ILR premium service scheduled at Croydon on June 1st at 08:30

1) I came on an Tier 2 ICT on March 2011, and converted to Tier 2 General in June 2014. Technically speaking, I don't qualify to apply for ILR. However, besides this, application is a solid one, high salary, Harvard grad, 10 years at same investment bank, no dependants, no more than 180 days outside the UK

2) I want to try apply for it myself and if I get rejected, will wait until 2019 when I've done my 5 year term under Tier 2 General. Does anyone know if a previous rejection will jeopardize a subsequent application?

Thanks.

Elaine

1. You don't qualify for ILR, regardless of it being a 'solid application'. It does not matter what you earn now or where you graduated from, if you don't qualify according to the rules you will be refused. Tier 2 ICT issued after 6th April 2010 does not lead to ILR/Settlement.

2. It won't have any effect on your current visa or future ILR application, but you will be a couple of grand poorer. But at least you will have done LIUK test!

Sunnycloud,

Did not get you? Do you have two accounts on this forum? You have no reply on this post. Would you like to clarify please?

Thanks
