Hi all the experts,

I have some questions about Long residency (10 yrs). Please reply as soon as possible. It's very veryy urgent. I have very little time remaining in the UK (currently I am in curtailment period. Till today, I spent almost 4 yrs 5 months inside the UK without any gap). Thanks a lot.

[Note: My last visa was in Tier 4 category. I already made a topic about some Tier 4 issues in "UK Tier 4 (Student) visas" sub-forum ]

1) For example: I apply for an FLR before my 60 days finish, and after 1 month(or 2 weeks) I withdraw my FLR application before it is decided by the home office. Will my long residency continuity break?

2) For example: I apply for an FLR before my 60 days finish, and after 1 month(or 2 weeks) I withdraw my FLR application before it is decided by the home office. And I go back to my home country within 4 days. Will my long residency continuity break?

3) For example: I apply for a Tier 4 visa from within the UK before my 60 days finish. [ I am making the application with a conditional offer letter (Not with a CAS), and I know my Tier 4 application is going to be rejected/invalid as I have NOT included any CAS with my application. (my intention is to buy some time in the UK so that I can search Tier 2 sponsor or any other category in that time.). Some days later, the letter for Biometric will come, but I ignore. Then again another biometric letter will come and I ignore again. Then the next day, I withdraw my Tier 4 application (that means I withdraw my application BEFORE it is dealt by the home office. I withdraw because I do NOT want to get a refusal). Then I go back to my home country within 4-5 days.
Will my long residency continuity break?

4) In case of Ques 3, if I give HO a chance to make a decision on my Tier 4 application, will my application be rejected or be considered as INVALID? What kind of effects do "Invalid application" and "Rejected Application" have on long residency continuity?

Please reply by today if possible. Thanks a lot everyone.

Have you not read any of the links in your other VERY long thread? You have been given exceptionally good and repetitive advice.

You are also 6.5 YEARS away from 10 years ILR, assuming that 10 years ILR is still in existence in 6.5 years.

Now you're straying into dangerous territory where the HO are highly likely to refuse you a visa to re-enter due to what they term as the submission of 'vexatious and frivolous' applications. They are wise now to attempts to buy time by submitting applications which have no grounds are bound to fail.
There was a re-entry refusal posted recently on the forum for exactly these reasons.

Also, instead of worrying about 10 years ILR residence, given that you are so far from that goal post, suggest you concentrate on finding a Tier 2 sponsor as you have already been advised.
