Hi Guys,
Few questions regarding my wife application.

I have been granted ILR on 10.08.2016 via premium service, I am still awaiting my BRP card.
My wife who came last year in July is currently on Tier 2 dependent which is due to expire on 16.08.2016.

I have printed FLR (M) to apply for her.
I have few questions in regards to it.

1. Can I apply via premium service or should I go for postal showing my letter of approval and explaining the situation on a cover letter? even though I haven't received my BRP yet? as her visa expires next tuesday.
2. the FLR (M) application is slightly complicated and wanted to confirm can she use her IELTS exam result dated Mar'2015? we used it when she came on tier2 dependent last year.
3. She is unemployed, can I use my credentials and show my finance for her maintenance?

urgent answer would be appreciated.

Thank you.

1. Yes, she can apply in person using the letter. HO will obviously have your details on their system. Don't forget to pay the immigration health surcharge of £500.

2. Think it should be ok, wait for others to confirm.

3. Yes, you can use yours as long as you meet the £18,600pa financial requirement and can provide 6 months payslips and bank statements.

Did you get ILR based on Tier 2 or 10 years long residence??

I got in on 5 years Tier 2 route.

So why is she changing to FLR(M)?

She can continue to extend her Tier 2 Dependent. Switching to FLR(M) will reset her clock to zero and a new 5 year route to ILR.

me and my wife are doctors, and you are not allowed to go into specialty training if you are on tier 2 dependent visa.

Ahhhh, ok, FLR(M) is what you want them as there is no restriction.
