Hello can anybody please help me.

I am a single mother to my daughter who I want to apply for ILR SET (F). She's currently on a tourist visa.
She was born in the Philippines. (Having her father's last name)
I got my citizenship last year (my father is British and my mother is Filipino)

I tried to ask help from a solicitor but they keep on telling me to apply her for a discretionary leave to remain which I don't like because I have to apply for an extension of that after it expires.

I need advice from people who have used the SET F and completed the application successfully.

Thank you so much in advance! :D

How old is the child?

How long has the child been in the UK?

What role does her father play in her life?

How long have you lived in the UK?

Do answer CR001's relevant questions. Your daughter must satisfy A277, A280( b ), 299.

However, they may refuse a visitor switching directly to SET(F), unless there was a change of circumstances.

On what basis did you get British citizenship? If you were a British citizen by descent and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years prior to your daughter's birth, then she may be entitled to register under Section 3(2).
