Got indefinate leave to remain in 2011 on the basis of 14 year rule long stay rule.

I applied for citizenship in 2016, refused on the basis of good character ( entering uk unlawfully and working without permission, thats what was stated on the letter) They advice I re - apply in 2021

Am in the process of changing Job, so the whole issue of getting the BRP via an NTL form, as my ILR is on my old expired passport, which I use when i travel in and out of UK, of which I also have a current passport.... I always take 2 passports to travel.

Question is, on the NTL form, there is section 3.10 relating to good character, i.e yes/No. Not sure what to tick, would this have any effect?

Have already booked for the premium service for January 2018

Will appreciate advice or anyone whose had this experience please.

Kind Regards

Hello Kay313,

I am in a similar situation as yours with regards to what information to enter in the good character section of the NTL form. Did you get any information to help that you can pass on?

I am also looking to book the premium service for my BRP NTL application. Have you had yours done? Any advise that you can give is appreciated.

Regards

I don't really understand why some people are reluctant to declare somethings that shouldn't affect their application, when their failure to declare may be seriously detrimental.

Hello Soultan,

Sorry about the late reply. Have got everything sorted now, it all went easy and perfect as i thought it could be.

On the section relating to good character, I choose No, then on the next page I explained in about 10 line of sentence explaining that I applied for Naturalization but was refused on ground of good character but was advised to re-apply in 2021..blablabla

To be honest the whole premium appointment took about 2 to 3hrs on that Friday. Got my decision without any query.

And low and behold my BRP card was delivered on Tuesday morning. Meaning everything done within 3 working days. I will definitely recommend the premium service.

Best of luck. If you need any more information, please do not hesitate to ask.

Hi Kay,

How are you? May I ask how was your BRP appointments? Which evidence of residence you took? Did you have an interview or was straightforward? In case you had an interview what sort of questions they made? Thank you.
