SET(O) form 2018

Hi can anyone help plz
I lived in the uk illegal Since 2004 (8yrars)then I got in (2012)discretionary leave on the basis of my family and private life for a period of 6 years (2 times x 3years ) now I want to apply for the indefinite leave,I’m filling application SET(o)
Section 3 : which category? Should I tick other purposes or reason not covered???
-section 6 : immegration history question 6.1 when did you first enter the uk ?which one 2004 or 2012 should I put !!
- section 7.13 how long have you lived in the UK? Do I calculate since I was illegal or after I guaranteed a visa ?
-Wife: British and I have 3 kids and we still live together .

- section 7.13 how long have you lived in the UK? Do I calculate since I was illegal or after I guaranteed a visa ?You will calculate from when you actually entered the UK

On my last aplication after 6 years dlr to ilr ( last monday )
6.1 2004 for u
7.13 : 13 years for u
And I didn't fill
5.6 and 5.7

-how I can pay 💰 for the application? Is it true I can get a cheque from post office?

I wanted to say a thank you to every person on this forum
my ILR application has been approved after 4 months .
My last two applications have been successful with the help of this big family I am really grateful for the work and time that people put here to help other .

Congrats on getting ilr. Could you confirm what documents you submitted for your application. I am also completing 6 years dlr in October 2018 based on private life.

- life in the uk certificate
- english language certificate
- Bank statement
-HM revenue P60
- letters from the school
- council tax / rent statement
- Tax credit
- passport pictures
- kids passports & wife passports
- family pictures
- payslips ( 6 months ) employers letters
- bills

I thought English language test and life in the U.K test are not required for applicants who are applying for ilr on completion of 6 years discretionary leave?

Can you please confirm so that I make the necessary arrangements. Thank you

Life in the uk and English test must be with your application,you can also download the application from the home office website and u ‘ll see clearly they asking for it ? ( also this has been changed for all applicant applying for ILR after April 2016 ) I heard some cases have been refused bc of life in the uk missing .i did my application myself with no help of any Solictor but if I was not sure about something I use to search for local Solicitore and make some calls for advice free (some Solicitore give first advice for free ) and I can %100 assure you that those 2 certificate are needed for your application.

You are wrong. DLR applicants for ILR are exempt from both tests.

See page 5 in the document in the link below.

It is only required for citizenship.

That’s what I’ve been Adviced by Solicitore :roll:
,it’s up to you ,personally i included both of them also soon or later I’ll need them for the British passports!!

At least you have them, but again, yet another case of a 'solicitor' not knowing the rules and advising applicants incorrectly.
