Tier 2 Dependant Ilr 180 day absence rule

Hi everyone

Sorry to bring this topic again but I couldn’t find a definitive answer in the old posts so I’m posting again.

So far my understanding is “ All pbs dependant visas granted before 11th January 2018 have no absence limit and any visas issued after 11th January 2018 will have a 180 absence rule which in effect makes them able to spend a maximum of 180 days per 12 month block if looked back from the date of Ilr application ”

So my questions are

1) is the 180 day allowance per 12month block or for the whole remainder of visa?

2) Can 180 day absence continue with next consecutive 12 month block making it a total of 360 days over 24 months ( i.e two 12 month blocks) ?

For example: if ilr date is 1st July 2021 and can they have 360 days absence from 1st of Jan 2020 till 31 Dec 2020? So that each 12 month block has 180 day absence!

Hope it makes any sense

Thank you for your support

There are two conditions:
180 days max in total in each residence year (12 months block) AND
No continuous absences of more than 180 days ANYWHERE in your qualifying period
