IS96 affects 10 ILR period?

Hello all,

I came to UK on 2nd of October 2010.

I have applied for Tier1 Entrepreneur visa during 2014 and refused by HO and appealed against the decision and went to FT, lost it and went to UT, lost it and then appealed to High Court. Unfortunately my solicitor sent the appeal document to UT rather then sending to High Court on the 13th day. and then he realised it was wrong and then he sent the appeal form to High Court on the following day (14th day) so they have received the document on 15th day. This happened in 2016.

Following week I have received IS96 letter and HO needs me to report to police station for signing. This was due to a day delay. We tried to make the IS96 invalid by sending postal receipt and stuff finally nothing was went well but High Court accepted the appeal documentation but we lost on hearing.

Then I have applied asylum and it was refused in the beginning but I won it on my first appeal. It was march 2017.

I was reporting to police station for almost 16 months.

I'm planning apply ILR with 10 year route this October and would someone help me if that 16 month will cause any issue?

Thanks in advance.

IS96 is issued to overstayers. This means you were an overstayer for 16 months and could also mean you had no lawful residence in that period. You may not be able to apply for SET(LR) as your lawful residence could be broken
