ILR application around a baby's due date

Hi,
Route Tier 2 General

I can apply for ILR from 20/04 and we have a baby due 02/05.

I am going to use the 5 day priority service.

I am working through a few scenarios and would like opinions on which is best.
Scenario 1: I wait for the baby to be born, add him as a dependent to my application. We get ILR and then in a year I apply for citizenship for all.

Scenario 2: I apply on the 20th, get ILR before the baby is born. He is a citizen so I only apply for his passport.

Scenario 3: I apply on the 20th. He is born while the application is pending. Not sure what happens here.

Are there any other pros and cons to these scenarios?

Thank you

A child born in the UK does not need ilr to register as British if born before either parent gets ILR. They have an entitlement to register as British and need no visa or ilr.

If born after you get ilr, simply apply to register the child as british on form MN1.
