Hi
I received my first BRP with issue date as 07-08-2014 for first 30th months with valid until date as 06-02-2017.I applied for my 2nd 30 months well before the deadline but they took more than 6 months to process the application and send me the 2nd BRP card with issuance date as 07-09-2017 and expiry date as 11-03-2019
My question is when is the earliest I can apply for ILR. Can I calculate the 60 months from the first date of issuance.
Thank you in advance as I am really struggling to find the answer. Please help!

Did you apply within the UK for your first visa??
You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before 60 months residence.

Hello
Thanks for the response
I applied from within the country. I have been in UK for more than 10 years
So I can apply 60 months from the date validity of the first BRP card -28days irrespective of what the expiry date is on my 2nd brp card ?
Thanks

Correct yes.

Why didn't you apply for ilr when you almost reach 10 years long residence??

Thank you
I did not apply for 2 reasons
The form filling seemed to be frustrating and the application was expensive. since I had a lot of time left on the visa I thought to apply on the 5 year route instead.
One last question I would like to ask is I am worried about the visa being rejected due to some mistake or errors in the form while filing. Do you have any suggestions to keep in mind while filing the details. I do take extra care while filing the general details.
Thanks

ILR costs the same for all routes, not cheaper price for set m. Long residence role has less document requirements.

You are not applying for a "visa". ILR is not a visa as such.
Simply answer the questions and if stuck asked. We cannot guess your circumstances. If you meet all the requirements, then there should be no issue.
