Hi All
I’m new member here and would like to ask question regarding ILR. Hope someone could help.
I’m going to apply ILR (SET M) in AUG 2020. I have one 16 month old British child and we live in 2 bedroom flat which we own. My cousin lives with us in 2nd bedroom. I was wondering if it will be fine to show that my cousin living with us 3 in 2 bedroom flat or would home office deem my property overcrowded? We have 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms. People living in the property are couple + 16 months old baby boy and my cousin.
Also I would like to go for super priority service but I know it’s suspended at the moment due to Covid-19, anyone have any information if it will be open before end of July? I’ll appreciate if someone could help.

There is no requirement to state your cousin lives with you. Property is not overcrowded. You also do NOT need a property inspection report for ILR. All you need is evidence of cohabitation with your spouse in both names for the last two years.

No, we don't know when super priority will be available.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I would like to mention that in SET M form there was a question where they ask if anybody else is living in that property & relation to us. So I was wondering if I need to declare that my cousin is living with us? Appreciate your help & quick reply.

Fine to declare it. It won't have any effect on your application.

Hi All
Another very quick question. Wondering if someone could help please. I’m scanning & uploading documents myself at home. I’m aware file size shouldn’t be more than 5MB. Some of my files are well over 5MB (for example 11MB & 9MB). I have used file compressor website to reduce the file size to less than 5MB. My question is,
1 - would it be Okkay to compress pdf files to reduce size to less than 5MB?
2 - would all files have to be in pdf and what’s the limit on number of documents I can upload for SET(M).
3 - final question is, how many proof of addresses in total I will have to submit for SET (M) for Cohabitation requirement?

4 - Final question is about financial requirements. I already meet the financial requirements now and If my salary increases just few weeks or one month before date of application, would I have to inform it to home office about increase in salary if yes then how do i do it? OR just declare what I have been earning in last 6 month and write in covering letter about promotion?

You can compress them, or split them into 2 separate pdf's, as long as they are below the size limit. They should be in grey scale, which helps with the file size. I used greyscale and 150 dpi to keep size down.
There is no restriction on the number of files, documents or pdf's that you upload.

Re the documents to confirm address, there should be 6 in joint names, or if not joint, then 6 in each name, spread over the previous 2.5 years.

1. Never upload your valuable documents on any anonymous website claiming to change the format/size without any app. Rather use an older version of Acrobat / pdf reader and then resave them which will certainly compress its size.
2. Not necessarily
3. 16 seems over excessive as usually 12 are deemed sufficient assuming all evidences are in individual names. Conversely, these even gets reduced if are in joint named. Most importantly these should cover at least 2 years and must be from at least 3 different sources.
4. Assuming you are earning a fixed wages and in that case the lowest wage figure during the last six months will be considered. However, your employer letter must state your annual income even recently increased till the date of application.

Thank you everyone. It’s very helpful. I will reduce the number of proof of addresses.

Dear members,
I have another silly question. I’m going to apply for ILR SET (M) next week. For financial requirements evidence, I was wondering if I can use 5 months of official Lloyds bank statement which I receive in post every month and for 6th month can I use printed & stamped bank statement from bank branch?
Would HO accept combination of both as my next statement in the post will come in the middle of August.
