Tax Return filing

Hi

My husband is on Tier 2 General visa.
He had come initially as my dependent on ICT and subsequently we moved to Tier 2 General in Dec 2017.
Both of us are employed by UK companies.
My query is

Do we have to file income tax returns via Self Assessment ?
We have not filed any returns so far as we do not have any other income other than the salary will that be an issue while filing for ILR in Dec 2022?
Can we start filing the return now?
How can we file the returns for the previous years ?

No as the tax is calculated and paid through PAYE payroll. Unless you fall into any of the categories in the link below, no self assessment is required for PAYE employees.

Hi

Thanks !
Could you let me know whether we need to show tax return filing papers as well when we submit our forms for ILR.
I assume it is sufficient if we submit

P60 and last 12 month pay slips an bank statements

The main tier 2 general visa holder only needs to submit ONE months payslips and ONE months bank statement. P60 and excess payslips/bank statements are NOT required.
