These documents are NOT required for Set(LR) at all. The checklist is GENERIC.
it begs the question since i am married to a british citizen would i be able to apply for citizenship straight after ilr is granted(if)?
It is a well published by UIKVI for many years and advised 100s of times on the forum that a spouse of a British citizen does NOT have to wait 12 months on ILR before they can apply for naturalisation, provided you meet ALL the requirements to do based on 3 years residence (ie. absence limit, physically present at the start of the 3 year qualifying period etc).

Thanx for your prompt reply.so the basis for my ILR application, which is long residence rather than spouse visa is not important so long as i am married to a british citizen?

It makes NO difference what route to ILR you have taken. The requirement is marriage to a British citizen, even if they became British the day before you apply.

British Nationality Laws have nothing to do with ILR rules. They are completely separate and independent of each other.

"According to your Human Resources record, your visa will expire on 22nd September 2020. You are reminded that under the Asylum, Immigration and Nationality Act (2006) it is unlawful for an individual to take up employment who does not have recourse to live, remain and work in the United Kingdom. In order to comply with this regulation please present documentary evidence of your up to date visa status (passport/visa) to me by 17th August 2020. My office is based in the Human Resources Department, Ground Floor, etc. Please note that failure to comply with this regulation may result in your contract being terminated in line with the above Act"
I applied for SET LR on the 8th of july.got an email that i qualify for biometrics re-use last week, decided to opt out as i wanted to attend an appointment plus the idv app uncertainty.now they are telling me that if i dont give details of my new visa by the 17th,which in all likelyhood will not happen,i will have my permanent contract with the NHS terminated.any advise please?

If you have applied in time, you are protected under Section 3c and your rights to work continue as same until a decision is made on your current application.
I would urge you to provide your employer with your Unique Application Reference number (UAN) which you can find on the completed form PDF and tell your employer that your rights to work continue under Section 3c. If the employer carries out an ECS check, it will come back fine and it is valid for 6 months before the employer needs to do it again.

It means your employer should get a positive response from UKVI and not suspend you
