Tier 2 Dependant ILR/ Tier 5

Thanks in advance...

We will be grateful for assistance with regard to the following queries.....
Info.... My husband and myself have spent 1 year in the UK as part of a Tier 5 Government Authorised International Post Graduate Training Program (I was the parent Visa Holder and I paid tax). Our second year, it was switched to Tier 2 General, again with me as the parent visa holder. In both these instances - my husband remained as a dependent.

Queries: 1. Will the Tier 5 period count towards ILR?
2. If in case, now my husband switches himself to a parent General Tier 2; will his years as a dependent be counted towards the ILR?

Please advise... Thank you.

1. Tier 5 doesn't count no.

2. If he switches to the main tier 2 general visa holder, his 5 year ilr clock resets to zero again. You cannot combine tier 2 dependent time with tier 2 main visa time to make up 5 years for ilr. It is 5 years as dependent OR 5 years as main tier 2 visa holder.
