Clarification on ILR (set M) eligibility : 28 days calculation

Hi everyone
I'm currently on spouse visa valid till 11-12-2020.
Entry Clearance visa issue date: 10-09-15
I entered UK first time on the 09-10-2015.
I will be applying for ILR this year, but have a question regarding when is the earliest I can apply?
Is it minus 28 days from the spouse visa expiry date or minus 28 days from when i entered the UK
first time or is it minus 28 days from the first entry clearance visa issue date
Secondly, last time I was given the residence permit spouse/partner leave to remain card not a visa stamp on my passport after my bio-metrics in Croydon. For ILR just wondering do we have to do the biometrics once again or is it all online? Asking this because of Covid situation!

1. It is within 28 days before reaching the 5th anniversary of the date you entered the UK.
2. You apply online and submit/pay. You enroll biometrics at ukcvas which is where you upload all your documents too. You will be notified to make an appointment or whether you fall into the biometric reuse category.

Life in UK test - no more certificates + checklist

Hi
My wife has passed the Life in UK test last week. She was told that she will get the results online. The question is do i just need to print the screenshot of that online result as no certificate was given.
Secondly I can't find the checklist for ILR set M (from a spouse visa), so I'll appreciate if someone can share that detailed list so I don't miss anything. Im bit confused in regards to number of proof of addresses + how long of residence should they be covering i.e. since the last extension or whole 5 years

Except LIUK & B1 test Set M require almost same documents as were used in last FLRM extension. Again the cohabitation evidences should cover the last 2 years except 5 years.

For ILR application requirement of employer letter

Hi everyone
Can someone please share the checklist for the required documents of ILR as I can't seem to find the requirements in regards to employer letter.
I can remember, as for spouse visa extension there was a requirement of employer letter which must include about contract, annual salary, the start date. Do we still need to submit that sort of employer letter with the application.
Secondly, I didn't use the employer contract last time as far as I can remember just requested the employer to write me a letter. Would that be enough for ILR too?

Just to double check what I have understood that a an employer letter is definitely required
A letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips at paragraph 2(a) confirming:(i) the person’s employment and gross annual salary;
(ii) the length of their employment;
(iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
(iv) the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).
The employment contact may be attached as an addition but not compulsory is this right?
the applicant may, in addition to the letter from the employer(s) required under that paragraph, submit a signed contract of employment. If they do not, the Entry Clearance Officer or Secretary of State may grant the application if otherwise satisfied that the requirements of this Appendix relating to that employment are met".

Another question which I should seek an advice for, my wife (the applicant of ILR) first entered UK on 09-10-15. Then she went to see her father due to his really bad health condition. He was on his own, no one else was there to take care of him.
She departed on the 20-10-2016 and came back on the 18-07- 2017. My father in law's leg got removed as a last resort on the 20-02-2017. As he was diabetic, his wound took too long to recover. Even though when she left for coming back he wasn't fully recovered. He already had one leg removed probably 4 years ago so this was his second. In other words he had no legs after the second operate.
Now we have all his medical reports, diagnostic reports, pics of him and discharged paperwork on us which covers 22-10-2016 till 09-07-2017. My wife was the only one who was able to go there and take care of him as all other sisters were also abroad and none of them visited him during that time due to their personal circumstances.
Now the question is what are the chances of HO to consider her ILR application? I am bristish so as my kid. I have just one kid 4 years old.

There is NO absence limit for spouse visa holders (FLR(M) applying for ILR.

No need to include the reports to make the case complicated rather should concentrate on filling that gap with cohabitation evidences.

Okay fair enough but that gap period was in 2016-2017 and after that she already had one spouse visa extension. So am i right sending the evidence of living together for the last 2 years only or am i suppose to be covering all 5 years? Thanks

Only 2 years evidence cohabitation and it is the Yeo immediately preceding the date of application.
