Will a solicitor speed up the application process?

I considered to ask a solicitor to write a covering letter for my 10 year long residence application. However, she is really slow now.
I am just wondering, does it worth to wait? Will a solicitor speed up the application process?
When I fill the online form, the form asks ‘do yo I have a solicitor/advisor’

I considered to ask a solicitor to write a covering letter for my 10 year long residence application. However, she is really slow now.
Why do you need a letter? The online form asks for everything HO needs and they do their own checks anyway, regardless of what letter you submit.
I am just wondering, does it worth to wait? Will a solicitor speed up the application process?
Your choice. Using a solicitor does NOT speed up the process. You join and wait in the same queue as everyone else. There are no special concessions for using a solicitor.

That is for when you use a solicitor to submit the application etc on your behalf. It is not about getting just a letter.

No influence of self filling or using Solicitor on the application process; that would be conferring undue advantage.

Support documents - 10 year long resident

Hi
I am applying 10 year long resident and submitted the online application form.
Now, I am about to upload the supporting documents. However, I am confusing with these in my checklist. Can anyone help?
Q1:
Evidence you have to prove the relationship with Mrs XX X (for example marriage certificates), and
correspondence addressed either to you jointly, or in both of your names, or addressed individually to you
at the same address, to cover the last two years
Do I need to provide all documents to cover two years? or do i only provide a letter dated 2 years ago? What will be accepted? Council tax letter? Bank statement?
Q2:
Proof of Mr XX X''s relationship status as the married or civil partner of Mrs XX X
If I have uploaded the marriage certificates for the question 1, do i need to upload again?
Q3:
Document(s) showing your child / children's immigration status such as passports, biometric residence
cards, or vignettes
One of my child was born 4 months ago, and I can't apply passport for her now. It has to be very urgent to apply passport, otherwise, her passport application will not be considered. So what should I do with this?

Set LR has no place for dependant so the documents asked in question 1 & 3 won't be needed whereas the no harm in attaching the document requested in question 2.

Life in UK test certificate is not provided - what to do?

I passed my life in UK test in July, and I didn't get the certificate from test centre due to Covid 19.
I put my Life in UK reference in the application form. However, what should I do when uploading supporting documents?

Between July and now things have opened up significantly. Did you chase up the test provider to get the certificate to you? When you say 'UK reference' can you clarify what you are referring to?

As far as I know, you do not get a certificate now.
You’ll get a ‘unique reference number’. You’ll need this number to complete your citizenship or settlement application. The Home Office will use it to check that you’ve passed.
As long you have provided the above in your application form, you do not need to do anything else.

Pre lockdown from around December 2019 no tangible result certificate have been issuing rather a unique reference number.

Yes, on the day you do the exams you get to know of passing and then get a Unique reference Number which you input on application for, the HO have their way of verifying it.

What do you mean by consent letter?
The online application has a consent form which has three parts. You need to submit it.

What do you mean by consent letter?
The online application has a consent form which has three parts. You need to submit it.

If you read, it clearly mentions who needs to sign which part. Sign as required.

I signed and uploaded Part 1, but still want to double check.
I minimised my supporting documents to only Passports, BRP, University Degree certificate.
I think everything is under my name.

You only need to sign part 1 then. For my own ILR, only Part 1 applied to me. I only uploaded Part 1. No need to upload empty Part 2 or 3.

I actually already attended my bio appointment and waiting for the decision. However, there is one thing which is still confusing me.
I came to UK in 2010 and someone sold a fraud car insurance to me. One day in June 2011, I was stopped by a police and he told me that my car insurance is invalid. Then, I went to the court hearing and explained the fraud.
Usually, the uninsured driver will get 6 points on the licence. But the judge didn't put any point on my licence. The only thing I got is £100 fine. And there is no endorsement record on my driving licence.
I am just wondering, do I need to declare this in my application form?
After that, I applied visas in 2014, 2015 and 2019. I didn't declare this in my 2014 and 2015 application forms. But I did declare in 2019 application form.
Any advice please?

If you were fined by the court then you have a criminal conviction.
If you had declared, it will not affect your application but its always best to disclose.

Thanks for the very fast reply on my question. Will this cause a refusal on my SET LR application?
When I applied visa in 2014, I didn't realise this is a conviction. So I didn't declare in my application form.
When I applied visa in 2015, I applied a police certificate via ACRO Criminal Records Office, there was nothing about the conviction. So I didn't declare it in my application form.
When I applied visa in 2019, my solicitor did the application for me and she said I need to put this conviction in my application form.

Not every criminal conviction is a recordable offence i.e. not an imprisonable offence in itself. The above is not a recordable offence so will not become part of your criminal record. However, since you were fined by court, you have a criminal conviction. Also, since you already have declared that in your 2019 application, HO has the records. It was best to disclose but I can not comment on approval/refusal.

Just to add some further information.
The car insurance fraud happened a lot during 2011 to 2013. I heard many storied after my case. Since 2012, the police doesn't send these case to the court anymore. And the court sentence not guilty if the uninsured driver can provide evidence of these fraud.
