LR QUESTION

Dear moderators
I have applied for ILR LR.
But want to clear a doubt.
I applied for tier4 visa and applied before my visa expiry date back in 2012. Then after a month I made application for psw while my tier4 application was pending yet and requested home to consider my psw application and ignore tier4 and psw was granted . I just want to clear that did not break my long residence.
