When to upload docs

My wife has applied for ILR and and made the biometric appointment for early January.
They have asked us to upload the docs before the appointment.
Should we upload the docs as soon as possible to accelerate the process or is no one going to look at them before the appointment anyway, so we may as well wait until just before the appointment (which would be easier as we will have time to scan all the docs over the bank holidays)?
