ILR application - from Tier 2 General

Hi There,

We have submitted our application(main + dependent + child) on 8th Dec and now booked for a biometric appointment for 6th Jan 2021 and our existing Tier 2 General visa will expires on 13th March 2021. I have some questions related to this situation , as again UK is going down on lock down :
- what would happen if my application takes longer than 13th March 2021 to process ?
- what would happen if the application is rejected for some reason and we are informed say few days before 13 March.

What are the next steps that should be done?

I read in few places that I'll have to return to my home country incase I fall under overstayer category.
Or is there any way around this?

Will I still be able to appeal if I am asked to leave the country?
Am I allowed to stay back in the UK until I get a response?

Thanks

As long you made in time application, you are covered by Section 3C until a decision is made. Current visa expiry is irrelevant/biometrics date is irrelevant. You will have the same work rights also. Stay positive and think positive. It will be successful.

Thanks for the quick response. Wasn't aware of Section 3c.

1. Yes, you can add utility bills and any other address proofs such as tenancy agreement, electoral roll letters, DVLA letters, etc. But this is mainly for dependents to prove cohabitation requirements. So better to add add cohabitation proofs under dependent section.

2. Consent letter, authorisation letters. It's not required to upload to every section so ignore if you don't have anything to upload under this category.

3. Read point 1 above.
A. Yes, 3 to 4 different sources for every 3 or 4 months.
B. Kids don't need cohabitation proofs.

4. That should be ok. Possibly Foreign birth certificate, parent's consent letter.
