Hi everyone

I am in the process of applying for my ILR and I am confused in calculating the time frame. Your help will be highly appreciated.

I applied for Entry Clearance as a Spouse dependant and I have been given a visa on 19/04/2016 stating that it will be valid from 19/05/2016 until 28/02/2019 and I arrived in the UK on 20/05/2016.
I applied for further leave to remain in Jan 2019 and was given visa extension until August 2021.

My question is; how can I calculate the time frame before applying for ILR? Do I need to consider the 19/04/2016 so that I can apply after 21/03/2021 or do I need to need to consider the date of arrival in the UK which is 20/05/2016 to make application after 22/04/2021.

Again, your help will be highly appreciated.

Your qualifying period starts from the date you entered the UK.

You can apply for ilr on 20th may 2021 minus 28 days.

I was looking into the required documentation for ILR application and figured out an other issue.

I am currently working in Public sector on a fixed term contract expiring on 30 April 2021. If i apply, suppose, on 23rd April, will it affect my application, home office guide lines are quite vague on this issue and just states, 'what type of employment applicant have; permanent, fixed term contract, agency'
