Hi all,
I have applied for the Tier 2 Set(O) for myself and my depedant. We didnt apply for our kid who was born here. She did have a visa that expired on 1 March, 2021 along with mine and my wife.
Here are the timelines.
Applied for ILR Route :SET(O) Tier 2 general with One dependant
Type of application: Priority (5 days)
Date application submitted:12/02/2021
Document submitted: 09/03/2021
Date Biometrics Enrolled :12/03/2021 (Victoria enhanced service)
SMS: Not received
Approval Received : Waiting
BRP Card Received :Waiting
I am a bit worried if this is normal for a priority service. Can some one please guide me.
Thanks

Super priority/priority is not a guaranteed service. It depends case by case. Worth trying for a refund (priority fees) after you receive the decision though.
Normally, as standard protocol for child’s safety, HO writes why you did not apply for your child. You simply reply that your child is UK born and you will register the child as British after you get ILR. Maybe child’s visa clarification is holding it up. Worth keeping a check on your email inbox including junk folder.
Usually its advisable to add a cover letter in scenario like this before you submit your application.
UK born child’s current visa expiry will have no impact on your application though. The child may not be covered by NHS costs though unless successfully registered as British now (if that is what you plan to do).

Thank you so much for your reply. I am a bit relieved about the child visa.
I will wait for few more days for the visa status.

Many have experienced the same. I just told you the normal procedure HO follows (RE:child) as reported on the forum many times. Not necessarily email for child’s visa clarification is holding it up. You could have other outstanding enquiries also.

All you can do is wait and stay positive.

Complaint procedure:

Ideally wait for now, once you get a decision, make a complaint and try for a refund.
