Hi,
I'm planning to apply for my ILR under skilled worker 5 years route. But I'm confused if my immigration histroy is eligible for continuous residence under this route.
Nov 2013 - Nov 2016: Tier 2 General.
Nov 2016 - Nov 2019: Tier 1 Entrepreneur.
Nov 2019 - Present: Tier 2 General.

Since now I'm on Tier 2 General visa, can I combine my previous T2+T1 for the 5 years?

Many thanks!

Hi all,
I'm planning on applying for my ILR as a skilled worker. And got confused by this question in the application form. "When did you first enter the UK?"

I got my first Tier 2 on 05/Nov/2014 (applied within the UK), before was on PSW visa.

I was in the UK during that period but had a holiday abroad and back in the UK on the 15/Feb/2015.

So in my case, shall I put 05/Nov/2014 or 15/Feb/2015 as my answer to that question (when did you first enter the UK)?

And do I need to include that travel for absence outside of the UK?

Thanks!!

The answer to that question is NOT important. You cane enter any of those dates and that has no effect on your eligibility

Even the Home Office is unable to advise on how to answer their question!

Normally it says in small print that this question is based on the application’s qualifying period. So it is either the date when you entered UK on initial Tier 2 OR the initial Tier 2 visa issue date (if you switched inside UK).
So it will be 5 Nov 2014.
But as Zimba and Vinny said, does not really matter.
