Working remotely from outside UK on Tier 2 General Visa - ILR

Hi All,

I received my Tier 2 General Visa in May 2016 and arrived UK in June 2016.
As you can see from the above details I'm nearing to apply for ILR in May 2021. My current situation is I'm working remotely outside UK for the last 2 months and planning to do it for another month (total of around 95 - 100 days).
I have read about many posts regarding 180 days in any 12 months period.
I'm sure that I will not cross 180 days mark in any 12 month period for the past 5 years but I have heard someone saying you cannot stay for more than 90 days at a stretch outside UK and a total of 180 days in any 12 months period to apply for ILR. Now, I'm a bit confused :? with ILR proceedings and I'm not sure if it's ok to be outside UK for another 1 month (currently 65 days outside UK and still on).

Thanks in advance,
Vishal

There’s no 90 day rule I’ve heard of. Only 180 days in 12 months.

You may have read re 90 days for citizenship applications: that’s totally different from ILR.

I am in the same boat, having just returned from working remotely - I was away for a total of 92 days. part of this was annual leave. I'd be very interested to hear from the moderators/those with more experience if this causes any problems - provided I was still employed by the Tier 2 sponsor throughout.

There is no 90 days rule. There is only one absence limit: max 180 days in a 365 days period for ILR.
