Please could you advise me on this concept whereby I have made my ilr application and given biometrics.
Am I ok to travel to other country as I will be getting the ilr visa separately.

No, you cannot leave the UK while an application is pending. If you leave, your application will be considered withdrawn and you will lose the fee paid.
