Submitting a ILR application (Tier 2) with an outdated police registration certificate

Good morning Immigration Boards community!

I need some urgent guidance re an ILR I did about a week ago and a police registration certificate which is not up to date!

I have applied to ILR (I have a tier 2 visa general) which expires on October 2022. I was about to submit my documents to the UKVCAS web portal when I realized that my police registration certificate is outdated (I married a French in January 2021 in France, who is pre-settled in the UK, and didn't know I had to notify the OVRO of my changes - so my current certificate says am single but in my ILR I have declared I am married). The next appointment available to get my new registration certificate is in late January 2022, but the deadline for my document submission to UKVCAS is on February 2022 and I am afraid I will run out of time. The questions are: can I apply to my ILR with the current registration certificate I have (but explaining that I will be receiving my updated police registration certificate shortly)? Or, shall I wait for my new certificate (assuming that my appointment does not get canceled cause of COVID)?
Thanks so much in advance!

A similar thing happen to a friend of mine once, called the OVRO (Kent) and they were able to accommodate them based on the urgency of the situation, might be worth a try?

Thanks very much for your reply, omarmansour!! I am registered with the OVRO in London and their phone number is set to an auto-reply machine to invite the caller and check their website (they also have a live chat in there but agents appeared to be never available). I think I will have a try and go in person, first thing in the morning tomorrow! By the way, do you think the OVRO will try to issue a fine or give me a reprimand note for having failed to update my registration certificate? :( Thanks and cheers!

No worries. They might tell you off or something :D I am no expert, but never heard of anyone getting a fine for being late in updating the details, especially with appts to update details already very scarce and far into next year ! Good luck

This is a minor issue. You do not need to worry about this at all.

Huge thanks for being so reassuring, Zimba and Omarmansur! Zimba, would you then recommend submitting my current police registration certificate and add a cover letter explaining the situation and saying that I have notified the police of the change of my marital status (got a confirmation email with my appointment) and that I am just waiting to get he new one? Thanks again!

Submit the current certificate and appointment letter/email, then add a cover letter to explain. You will be fine.

Thanks so much, everyone, for the advice! guess what! I have been granted ILR! I did follow your advice, submitted my application with my outdated police registration certificate but explained (in a cover letter) that I had an appointment and hence my marital status was outdated (I attached the email appointment provided by the OVRO). Surprisingly the person that was capturing my biometrics noted the email from OVRO with the appointment, and took note of it!
So happy and relieved about this!!
