re Set O application form

Hi guys,

I have a couple of questions.
It's now almost been 5 years since I got my first Tier 2 visa so I'm filling out the ILR form SET O so I have a couple of questions.

The application form asks me when I first entered the UK
- I Entered uk on 09 October 2015 as a tier 4 student with a Tier 4 visa valid from 06 October 2015
I then obtained a Tier 2 visa with a “date of issue” 05 October 2017.
In my application it asks when I entered UK should I put the date of issue of my Tier 2 visa instead of when I entered in October 2015?

In the section when I need to put my absences from the UK should I start by putting the most recent absences to the earliest absences i.e. from 2021 back to 2016?

Also since 2020 I had periods where I spent 9 weeks continuously or 7 weeks continuously in a single trip abroad. My absences in a year never exceeded 180 days and during those 7+ weeks my employer was aware of my absence and let me work from abroad as well. So during those 7+ weeks I used my holiday allowances and also worked from abroad. would that be an issue for my application?

It does not matter which date you put on the application. Declare all your absences in the last 5 years. Absences that do not break the limits are ok

Hi there

I have a couple of absences related questions

First of all when I put the reason for my absences in the application form can I just say "Paid leave" or do I have to give a lot of detail such as holiday, working from home?

If I need to give a lot of detail then in one trip for 9 weeks, I worked from my home abroad and also went on holiday so do i have to list all of the reasons in detail?

Also my employer in the detail of my absences do they have to specify how many "days" of absence I had as paid leave? e.g. if i went on a trip from friday to sunday do they have to specify that it is 1 day of paid leave?
what if again if i worked from abroad?

Thanks

thank you
in my employer's letter about my absence when they put the number of days do they just have to count all of the full days or only the working day full days?
e.g. absence from 01/12/2021 to 08/12/2021 should be 6 days (6 full days) or 4 days (4 full working days only)?

Thanks

Also one more question Zimba, I had 9 weeks off in summer in a single trip where I worked from abroad for 7 weeks and used holiday allowance for 3 weeks. What should my employer put as the reason for absence HOLIDAY AND WORKING FROM HOME ?

NO need for any specific evidence. Your employer simply has to say that all absences from work were authorized by them

Zimba 2 more questions please;
- I had 33 trips made abroad, I couldn't put all 33 lines on the application form as it seems like there is a limit at 30. But In my employer letter we put all 33 lines including only the dates of travel (not including countries visited or reason for travel). What should I do about those 3 missing travels please?
- When I extended my Tier 2 visa in 2020 my sponsor license was different and in summer 2021 our company got acquired so now I'm having to put a different sponsor license number. What should I do to make sure Home office doesn't get confused and think I'm applying for ILR with a different employer? What should my employer have done to ensure that Home Office was aware of the acquisition?

Thanks

- Add all absences to a spreadsheet and upload
- UKVI does not get confused. They have all the information. Sponsors have dutied they need to follow: https://www.gov.uk/government/collectio ... -educators

Zimba thanks for all your helpso far but I do have couple more questions please

- I came to uk first in 2008 to do my bachelors which took 5 years. In 2012 I applied to extend my Tier 4 visa to do my final year but 9 months after my application my visa to extend got rejected, i then appealed against the decision summer 2013 which also was a negative result. Beginning of 2014 I applied for residency visa via private life route but that also got rejected. So I voluntarily left the UK in 2014 but in 2015 I got another Tier 4 after Iapplied for it in my home country so I reentered the uk in October 2015 and then got a Tier 2 visa in January 2017. I'm now applying for SET O ILR.

I have 2 questions;
- for the question of "what was the first time you entered the UK" do I put 2008 (first time I came to do my bachelor degree) or 2015 (second time i entered the uk to do my masters after being in my home country for over a year)?
- there is also a question on previous UK application rejections. How detailed should i be? Should I mention Tier 4 extension refusal + appeal result + residency visa via family route application or is that too detialed? When I applied to extend my Tier 2 visa in 2020 I just mentioned about the Tier 4 extension rejection nothing else and that was fine.

thanks a lot

Use the 2015 date. Simply declare the refusals. no details needed as UKVI has all on the file

documents for ILR set o

I'm gathering documents for my Tier 2 > ILR application and I have a couple of questions
  • Is a bank statement showing the past 3 months ok? I know that it has to have my latest payslip but is there any requirement on the amount of money I hold in my account?
Proof of English - I did my bachelors and masters in the UK . would a document like shown below be enough for proving my education.
      Image
Also they ask for proof of immigration as well as BRP but I don't know what that means. I have my BRP would that count as proof of immigration?

Although not asked for would it be useful to provide the following
        -my latest COS
        -rental agreement

You simply need the last payslip and the last bank account showing the money coming in. The original degree certificate is enough. BRP is the proof of immigration status. You do not need to provide an agreement

Also I noticed that I stupidly didn't check the boxes off all the documents I was going to provide before I submitted my application, would that be a problem, what should I do?

      Image

also the employment leave authorisation and employment letter are dated 24/01/2022, I submitted my online ILR application on 4/01/2022 and my apointment to give my biometrics is 24/01/2022. I'm supposed to upload my document today and I have an older dated employment letter and leave authorisation letter with 23/12/2021. Which date should I upload?

Upload your evidence as required per rules. Missing to tick the boxes is not an issue. Upload the latest evidence you have
