Absence Mistake on ILR form - should I cancel and apply for refund or write covering letter

Hello,

My application is within UK for ILR 10 year route.

I have made a mistake on my spouse's ILR form where in the section where you have to list absences for time spent outside UK I have clicked and submitted as No as I thought they meant time spent outside UK in Isle of Man Jersey or Guernsey etc. Its a very silly mistake and I am aware of that. It should have been 'Yes' as I have spent time outside UK however they were within 90 days consecutively (In my case i think 180 days applicable but still never been out for more than 90 at a stretch) and also not more than the maximum allowed.

Now do I cancel the super priority application and apply for refund or should i just put it on a covering letter explaining my mistake on my existing application at biometric appointment? Would I be allowed to attach a covering letter at the biometric appointment and would the case worker consider this as genuine mistake or as an attempt to mislead?

I did try to log in to cancel however there is no cancellation option available at the end of application page under Further actions. Please note that I haven't attached any documents or attended biometric yet (Booked on 11 feb 22) I submitted my form today moring 00.01 am for super priority booking. Can someone advice on best way out? How severe is the mistake or should i cancel and make a new application? Thank you for your time to read through and replying to this post.

Upload a covering letter at the forthcoming biometric appointment explaining the mistake.

Absences from the UK during the 10 year continuous residence period can be up to:
180 days at a time
540 days in total

Thank you @manci for your reply. I was just worried whether I would be able to upload a covering letter and also if the case worker would think of it as misrepresentation etc as have previously had very difficult experiences with HO. But a covering letter makes sense and I plan to do that. Thanks again.
