English Requirement for ILR under Tier 2 General Visa

Hi,
I hold a Tier 2 General Visa (issued in 2017) and can apply for ILR in June. In 2017 when I first applied for my visa, I passed the IELTS UKVI test, and I didn't need to renew it for my extension even though it was already expired at the time of the extension. I'm wondering if I need to provide another certification for my ILR application?

Also, my wife is on a dependent visa and she didn't need to pass any English tests but she is currently working in a London based company. Does she still need to provide an English certificate?

Many thanks.

You do not need one for ILR. Your wife needs to pass B1 test for her ILR application.

Tier 2 General does not exist anymore as it has been replaced by the Skilled worker visa route. The English language is not a requirement anymore under the Skilled worker route: indefinite-leave-to-remain/language-req ... l#p2002760

Only dependants must fulfil the language requirements
