ILR cohabitation query
We are applying for ILR based on 5 years of tier 2 general.
My wife is the main applicant and i am dependent partner. Applying at the same time.
My query is around cohabitation documents:

We have a joint bank account and water bill in joint names.
We are planning to provide 3 x yearly bank statements (2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022)

and multiple water bills covering the 2 year period.
Is that sufficient as evidence of cohabitation?

I can further provide both Driver's licenses at the same address, council tax bill (Single main applicant name), my P60 / salary slips etc

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated

There are no specific rules for this. ANY evidence over the last two years can be used

Thanks for the prompt response Zimba. So three bank statements in joint names and water bills in joint names covering 2 years would be sufficient? obviously marriage certs and other docs (licenses etc) would be sent

I was confused as i read that you needed 6 documents from 3 different sources.

Many thanks,
Ahsan

As I said there is no specific requirement. It is advisable to provide 6 pieces of evidence from 3 sources

Understood. This is the list I have prepared so far

  • Water Bills (Jan 2020- Feb 2022) - Joint names, Multiple Bills

I have requested for the bank to provide 2 yearly statments and will be submitting:
    1x joint bank statement jan 2020-Dec 2020
    1x joint bank statement Jan 2021 - Jan 2022

Council tax bills 2020 - Main applicant named
Council tax bill 2021 - Main applicant named

    PBS Dependent P60 - 2021
    PBS Dependent P45 - 2020
PBS dependent Salary Slip - Sep 2020
PBS dependent Salary Slip - Dec 2020

HMRC employment History for 2020-2022 - Dependent only

Copy of Driving license for both main applicant and dependent

DVLA acknowledgement for Change of car Ownership - Dependent
Is this list sufficient?
