GTV stage 2 to ILR

Hi everyone,

I was on Tier 2/Skilled worker visa from last 2 years and 11 months. Yesterday I received BRP card of my GTV. I understand that I can combine my Tier 2/Skilled worker and GTV (3 years minus 28 days) for ILR application.

My question is: can I apply for ILR straight away now given I have already spent 3 years minus 28 days in the UK on Tier 2/Skilled worker? or should I be waiting for another few months?

The reason I am asking is that the rule book reads: "you need to earn money in the UK during your last permission of stay". What is "last permission of stay"? Is it GTV in my case?

Thank you for your time reading and replying to this post.

Yes. When gtv was granted your tier 2 was cancelled so is not the "last permission of stay", ie most recent permission

Thank you for your prompt response. Just so I am absolutely clear your reply 'yes' is related to the first option or the second option in the following question.

can I apply for ILR straight away now given I have already spent 3 years minus 28 days in the UK on Tier 2/Skilled worker? or should I be waiting for another few months?

Thank you so much for your incredible service.

I quoted what I was referring to, ie GTV is your last grant of leave/permission

Thanks. In that case may I ask a follow up question:

can I apply for ILR straight away given I have already spent 3 years minus 28 days in the UK on Tier 2/Skilled worker? or should I be waiting for another few months to demonstrate that I have earned money in GTV category?

Many thanks!
