Applying for ILR after leaving the job I am sponsored for

Hello,
I am currently on a Tier 2 sponsored visa. The visa will expire in September this year. However, I will be eligible to apply for ILR at the end of June (have been in the UK legally for 10 continuous years). In case I leave the current job and then apply for the ILR, am I eligible to start a new job before I receive my ILR visa?

Are you applying for ilr based on 10 years long residence or 5 years tier 2?

Either way, while your ilr application is pending with UKVI, your current visa conditions continue, meaning you are only permitted to work for your tier 2 sponsor.

Thanks for your reply.
I am applying for ILR based on 10 years long residency. In case I leave that job, am I still not able to start a different job?

You still cannot work for anyone other than your tier 2 sponsor, regardless of your ilr route.
