Hello

My wife's visa is coming up to 5 years in July and we are looking to apply for ILR.

My question is about english test requirements. I have been told it is B1 level 5 minimum.

Some say it is that plus Life in the UK test. Please can someone provide some guidance as I understood Life in UK was for citizenship.

She could not study due to lock down and new born baby. What happens if cannot achieve this in time.

Thanks in advance for any advice

She needs English B1 from a UKVI approved test and test provider AND the Life in the UK test. Both are mandatory.

If she does not have LIUK test, her ILR will be refused. If she doesn't meet the requirements for ILR, she should apply for another FLR(M) extension.

Not sure why lockdown prevented her from studying though.
