My ILR application / my partner visa extension
Hi All,
My statute is:
1-I applied for IILR and I booked an appointment for 17th of Jun to upload my documents.
2- The expiry date of my current Tier2 visa is the 27th of May. My Partner has a PBS Dependent Leave To Remain visa with the expiry data of 27th of May. My partner currently is not eligible to apply for ILR, because my partner have been in UK for oly 3.5 years.
Considering that My application for ILR is under review, which root we should select to apply for visa extension for my partner?

The extension will be 3 years if your ILR is successful.

Your partner should apply to extend his or her PBS dependant visa before it expires. If your ILR application is successful s/he will get a mandatory 3 year extension,

About 3 years I am not sure. I have found a friend that he has done the same root but he suggested selecting a shorter period based on how long it requires to reach 5 years to get ILR for my partner.

You cannot apply for a shorter period. The immigration rules specifically state that a PBS Dependent will get apply for and get a 3 year extension if the main PBS migrant has obtained ILR or British citizen. There is no discretion on this by UKVI.
