I was first given 10 years parent route, after my first 2.5 years upon my renewal i switched to the 5 years parent route, i am going to be due for a renewal soon, would i be able to combine my first 2.5 years under the 10 year parent route along with my first 2.5 years under the 5 years parent route to achieve my 5 continuous 5 years ? i mean can i apply for ILR now or i should wait till after my second 2.5 years under the 5 years parent route ?

No you cannot. You need 60 continuous months under the 5 year route for ILR. No combination is possible under the 5 year route
