How to tell if i’ve ever been an over stayer

Apologies it’s been a while since i’ve posted, if it’s in the incorrect place please delete- my question
i was granted a tier 2 general in August 2017but in May 2019 my employment was terminated. I never received a curtailment letter. I applied and payed for another tier 2 general with another company in June 2019 and was successful (however the BRP when received said valid september 2019). I’m now approaching 5 years now and was wondering if there was a scenario where the Home office would have me as an over stayer and my 5 year clock reset when i started with my new company in september . Or would it be considered all part of the 5 year period so i can apply for ILR.

You were already advised about this in 2020 and that you were not an overstayer in 2019.

Hello, currently completing my application, and it’s for ILR using the skilled worker route (T2) and a question has come up asking for my sponsors license number on my certificate of sponsorship? But I thought you needed a letter from employer regarding employment and not an actual certificate of sponsorship? Have I got that wrong?
Also it’s asking for date of entry into the UK, but I was working 28 days from when my first BRP was issued, which was easier than my arrival (it seems the site bases the application on date of entry)
Just wanted to confirm your understanding or thoughts please?

You input the sponsor licence number and cos details of your current visa. This has nothing to do with the employer letter, which is a separate requirement. You don't need a new cos for ilr

It is not a trick question, it is simply asking what your date of entry was, answer accordingly.

Thanks for that. My confusion was it was asking for the code for the sponsor sponsoring this application which confused me as I thought the sponsor just provided me a letter. So I can use the details from the CoS I obtained for my CURRENT skilled worker visa?
